The Satellites are capable of sending and receiving the messages through space using the Electromagnetic Spectrum. The ranges at which the signals are carried to and fro into the space (Uplink) are less than 27.5 GHz to 30.0 GHz. The range required for the downlink operation falls in the spectrum of about 17.7 to 20.2 GHz.

The speed of the Satellite internet is about ten times faster than the cable and dial up system of connections. The two-way satellite internet connection requires following hard wares:

• A two foot by three foot Dish
• Two number of modems for Uplink and Downlink
• Coaxial cables for connection between Modem and Dish
